A Plum group is the people you’d tell anyway. You create one, send a private invite link, and everyone who joins sees each other’s period days on one timeline. There’s no feed, no comments and no public profile, and groups come with the app.
What your group sees
- Your last period, meaning the first day of the most recent one you logged.
- Your next expected period.
- Whether today is a period day for you.
- If you track exercise, which days in the last four weeks you worked out. Never what you did.
That’s the whole list. Notes, symptoms, moods, phase and fertile window never leave your account, and the help page on what a group sees walks through it field by field.
Sharing is a switch, and it starts on
From the moment you create or join a group, that group sees your summary. Every group has its own switch, so you can share your cycle with your friends and only your workout days with your running club. Turn a group’s switch off and it stops seeing your cycle until you turn it back on.
Starting a group
Open the Groups tab, tap Create a group, and send the invite link in the chat you already share with those friends. Anyone who taps it joins in one tap, and the link is the only way in. The help page on groups covers invite links, admins and group limits.
If Plum isn’t the fit
Sharing looks different in every app. Some share with one partner, some follow a friend’s cycle one way, and a few do groups. Our comparison of eleven sharing options lines them up, Plum included, with each company’s own page linked.
Common questions
Can a group of friends all see each other's periods in one app?
Yes. A Plum group shows every member's last period, next expected period and whether today is a period day, all on one timeline. Everyone sees everyone, so nobody has to ask.
How many friends can be in a Plum group?
Up to 100 people. A full group turns its invite link off until someone leaves.
Is sharing on or off when you join a Plum group?
On. Sharing starts the moment you create or join a group, and each group has its own switch you can turn off whenever you like. Exercise days have a separate switch per group.
Do Plum groups have a group chat?
No. Plum shows the timeline and leaves the talking to the chat you already have with those friends. Send the invite link there and the group is going in a minute.
Do my friends see my symptoms, moods or notes?
Never. A group sees a summary, not your log. Notes, symptoms, moods, phase and fertile window stay with you.
Does everyone in the group need an iPhone?
Yes, for now. Plum is an iPhone app and there isn't an Android version yet.
Does sharing with friends cost anything?
Groups come with the app. You don't need Plum Premium to create a group, join one or see what your friends share.
