Plum is an iPhone app, and that’s the short answer to most questions about devices. This page has the longer version, plus how signing in works and why there is an account at all.
Devices
iPhone only. There’s no Android version, no iPad layout, no Apple Watch app and no home screen widget yet. The phone you log on is the phone that gets reminders, but your data isn’t tied to it, because it lives in your account.
Signing in
You sign in with Apple or Google. Apple lets you hide your email address behind a relay, and that works fine with Plum. The account is what makes a new phone pick up where the old one left off, and what lets a group of friends see each other’s dates. It’s also what lets you delete everything in one go, which is on deleting your account.
One person, one account. If you sign in with a different method later and it carries the same verified email, Plum links it to your existing account rather than making a new one.
Where your data lives
On Plum’s servers, encrypted in transit and at rest, with a copy on your phone for speed. That’s different from apps that keep everything on the phone, and it’s a deliberate trade for sync and groups. The full picture, including which services Plum talks to, is on how Plum handles your data.
Common questions
Is Plum on Android?
No. Plum is an iPhone app, and there isn’t an Android version yet. That also means a friend on Android can’t join your group for now.
Does Plum work on iPad or Apple Watch?
Plum is built for iPhone. An iPad can run it in the iPhone-sized window Apple provides, but there’s no iPad layout, and there’s no Apple Watch app or widget.
Which iOS version does Plum need?
The App Store listing shows the current minimum, and the store won’t offer the app to a phone that’s below it.
Do I have to make an account?
Yes. You sign in with Apple or Google, and there’s no email-and-password option. The account is what lets your history sync to a new phone and lets a group see your dates. Plum isn’t an on-device-only tracker and doesn’t claim to be.
I signed in with Apple once and Google another time. Do I have two accounts?
Not if both use the same email address. Plum links a second sign-in method to the account that already holds that verified email, so you land in the same history either way. If you used a different address, you have two accounts, and support can help merge or remove one.
How do I move Plum to a new iPhone?
Install Plum and sign in the same way you did before. Your history is on Plum’s servers, so it appears on the new phone. If Premium doesn’t show as active, tap Restore purchases in Me.
Will Plum sign me out?
Only if you don’t open the app for a year. Otherwise you stay signed in for as long as you keep using it.
