There are four ways to change who sees you, and none of them touch your own data. The lightest is turning sharing off for one group. The heaviest is deleting the group, which only the admin can do.
Which one you want
- Turn sharing off if you want a break but still want to see your friends. It’s one switch, per group, and you can flip it back whenever.
- Leave the group if you don’t want to see it or be seen by it. An invite link gets you back in later.
- Remove a member if you’re the admin and someone shouldn’t be there. They leave straight away and can only return with a link.
- Delete the group if it has run its course. It disappears for everyone in it.
What a group could see in the first place is a short list, and it’s on what your group can see.
Step by step
- Open the group from the Groups tab. Tap Group settings.
- To pause sharing, turn off Cycle under Sharing. Members stop seeing your dates right away. Exercise has its own switch. You stay in the group and still see everyone else.
- To leave, tap Leave group at the bottom. You stop seeing the group and its members stop seeing you. You can rejoin any time with an invite link.
- Admins can also remove a member, reset the link or delete the group. Remove sits next to each member’s name. Reset link makes the old invite stop working for everyone. Delete group closes it for every member at once.
Common questions
If I leave or delete a group, do I lose my cycle data?
No. A group only ever held a summary of your dates. Leaving it, being removed from it or deleting it changes nothing in your calendar, your logs or your predictions.
What happens if the admin leaves?
The group carries on. The admin role passes to one of the remaining members, who can then rename the group, reset the link and remove members. If the last member leaves, the group is deleted.
Can I stop one person from seeing me without leaving?
Not on their own. Sharing is per group, so everyone in a group sees the same summary or nothing. If you’re the admin, remove them. If you’re not, turn sharing off or leave, and start a new group without them.
Someone forwarded the invite link. How do I stop them joining?
If you’re the admin, open group settings and tap Reset link. The old link stops working for everyone at once, and you can share the new one with the people you meant to. Anyone who already joined can be removed from the same screen.
