Switching from Flo, Apple Health or another app doesn’t mean starting from zero. Plum can’t open their files, but it doesn’t need them. During setup it asks for your past periods on a calendar, and one tap on each first day is enough. If you’re coming from Clue, use the Clue import instead. It copies flow and symptoms too.
Why it’s worth the two minutes
Plum predicts from the gaps between your own periods once it has about three cycles, as how predictions work explains. Without history it starts from the cycle length you type in. With a year of dates, the first prediction you see already comes from your real cycles.
Step by step
- Open your old app's calendar next to Plum. You only need the first day of each past period. Switching between the two apps as you go is fine.
- When Plum asks about past periods during setup, tap each first day. Plum fills in the rest of that period from the period length you gave it. It also marks where earlier periods probably fell, so you can tap those if they look right.
- Go back as far as you like, up to two years. The bar at the top counts cycles. Three is enough for predictions to come from your own history.
- Tap Confirm. Predictions update straight away. You can fix any single day later from the calendar.
